Who we are

Hearts & Bones is the realization of our shared dream to bring people together across the country to save the lives of dogs in need and unite loving forever families. As a foster-based rescue, we focus on providing all of our dogs with secure and caring environments while they search for their adopters. At Hearts & Bones, all of our dogs are 100% certified pre-loved.

Why us?

Conversation-based

We know our dogs, and we will equally take the time to get to know you and your adoption goals to ensure you find your perfect match.

No Judgment

Every situation is different, and we approach saving dogs with an open mind and heart. Whatever your situation, Hearts & Bones is not here to judge. We’re here to help.

Always there

Welcoming a dog is where the relationship starts, not where it ends. We'll be there beyond the adoption day to provide education, training, and a support system.

Transparent

Adoptions are exciting, but they can also be stressful. That's why we’re honest from the get-go. Transparency is our top priority because that's what helps new forever homes to be forever!

Dallas &
New York City

Hearts & Bones Rescue has dual bases in New York City, NY and Dallas, TX. Our incredible network of rescue partners, fosters, volunteers, and small but mighty staff work together to save dogs from overcrowded shelters in Texas where the abandoned dog population and euthanasia rates are among the highest in the country. We then transport our dogs to our foster and adoption base in the Northeast, where there are an incredible number of people looking to adopt and our pups have a much better chance of finding a forever home. We're always looking for more fosters in both areas.

“Fostering and seeing the foster get adopted is 10x more rewarding. You spend so much time with your foster and when they finally get their perfect forever home - there’s no feeling like it. It’s amazing.”

Jenna - Foster

“I love that HBR is a completely foster based rescue, and everyone I have worked with has always put their full effort into making sure dogs get placed with their perfect families.”
